learn to - create, identify and anticipateStudents learn the traditional hand techniques and various combinations learn how to create rhythms, anticipate beats & play African beats to rhyme with other types of music. We also focus on timing, ear, eye and hand coordination, awareness and concentration. We offer group lessons and private lessons for beginners, intermediate and advanced level drummers. Group lessons are done in a 6week block – once a week for 6 weeks. Usually on Mondays between 6pm and 8pm. Venue – Aberdeen Foyer, Marywell Centre, Marywell St, Aberdeen AB11 6JF Private lessons are a bit more relaxed and can be arranged around your convenience. We will arrange a suitable time for you and can teach you in your own home. |

Afriquetone also organises drum circles where people can meet regularly to play together, learn new rhythms, shape their skills and exchange ideas. The drum circles are not as intensive as the drum lessons but are also very useful to experienced drummers and beginners. |
