school workshop package information

Afriquetone is offers different workshop packages for schools. They include:

one day event workshops

Normally run for the whole day. Kids are separated into groups and given time slots. Each time slot usually does not last for more than one hour. However, this is dependent on the number of children participating.

Week long events

These are ideal for school activity weeks or summer programs. These events will also fit in to other weekly programs as a form of entertainment for both teachers and schools.

structured workshops

These offer the most amount of time for kids to learn African drumming and its dynamics. They are structured with an expected outcome after a given period.

Six week scheduled workshops

A six weeks scheduled workshop aimed at teaching children to a certain level, either to prepare for performance attached to a special event or to give kids a different focus for the duration of time.

Summer school workshops

Summer school workshops are different. They are normally designed in a way that offers more time for children to learn African drumming and percussion.
They are often organized by the schools themselves or by Arts councils during holiday time to keep children busy and it offers kids the following opportunties:
